I am hoping to advance within the company, but if that’s not possible I would obviously need to look outside the company for opportunities. Most higher level HR jobs require HR experience. How many years in this position do you think would be adequate to advance to a higher level position such as assistant director or maybe director of one HR department (benefits, training, etc.)?
