I like foreign languages , wanted to pursue a career here in the US in lingustics ( I went to the University in another country for 3 years) but there aren’t that many opportunities having that degree except for teaching . I work in a good company but in order to get a good job there you need a degree in biology or chemistry mostly . Please help me , I want to go back to school in 4 months and I can’t decide on what I should study. Thanks .

How do I get the most out of my HR experience?

Shawn asked:

I’m working at a large company as an HR Assistant. I am a contractor and my contract runs out in October. I don’t know if I will be kept on full time and just want to get as much experience in HR as possible. Basically I want to learn and do more then what I am now. I have made this known to my coworkers and my supervisor. I’ve been taking all opportunities to gain skills in PeopleSoft and now I’m wondering, aside from this, what other skills can I develop and how? Any and all advice would be great and much appreciated.
