Why asked:
My boss is creating a lot of internal and external problems for other people in the workplace. It is so bad that GREAT-HARD workers are quitting left and right. I have not receive a share of this treatment yet, but I will soon enough the way the pattern is going.
I have always been told to things about Human Resources: 1. If you file a report about your boss, you are next to get fired. 2. Human Resources can’t help what they don’t know, so I have to come out with it, then sit in a long battle at a table facing my boss.
Right now this is not my problem…. should I wait until it is and how should I approach this matter?

My sister in law was recently hired at my company as the HR Assistant. I really don’t feel comfortable with her knowing how much I make and would like to express this discomfort to the HR Director, her boss. The only thing is, it’s only the two of them that work in the HR department and I don’t want this to get back to my sister inlaw (they are both gossip queens). What should I do? Are there any rights that would protect a family member’s information in the workplace?

I have no experience or education in HR and it is hard to get hired with any big company. I have a BA in Psychology.
Should I pursue a Masters in HR Management or complete my Bachelors in HR Management since most of the coursework is complete from my previous degree? Does it make a difference or are they equally valuable?

kristine s asked: A potential HR Director for our company is coming in today and I will be talking with her via tele-conference. What are some good qualities or issues I should look for/bring up?
I work in a satelite office in Chicago and our Corporate office is in CA. There are only 3 of us here in the Chicago office. What are some qualities I should look for being in a remote office?
Also, our last HR person totally ignored our office and was very hard to reach. That is going to be something I want to bring up. Any other ideas? Thanks.
