Tickey asked: For example, my father has a “free” attorney to work with and he makes about $60,000 a year with supposed responsibility of 5 people including himself. This should mean if he wants to throw around accusations about my mom it should be on his own dollar
Where as my mom gets paid 9.00 hr part time and gets one.
Could the court order be thrown out for like false repersation or something

Hallelujah-Hollaback! asked: I live in the state of Georgia and I am getting ready to file a stress claim against my employer due to my livelihood being affected by the amount of work I am expected to do without any assistance! I work in HR and I’m responsible for almost 300 employees singlehandedly. I take care of everything from worker’s comp, benefits, orientation, employee relations, billing, EVERYTHING. Because we also have employees that are out of state, I feel like I’m being pulled in a thousand different directions. I recently received my evaluation which turned out to be all derogatory. I received my eval in my chair and I am a HR Professional working for an attorney. I have been nauseaus and feeling depressed about going to work. I do EVERYTHING here and for the level of responsibility I have and the number of people I have to make sure I’m taking care of I feel like I’ve been taken advantage of. I am overwhelmed. How do I start my claim and how do I make all my points clear?

Anonymous Person asked: I was a Projects Engineer in a well known organization then I decided to switch career and work in quality assurance systems design and implementation. The new responsibility in my new job deserves a promotion. However HR in my company claims it doesn’t! I don’t know whether I should stay in my job unsatisfied with the grade and salary but hoping to get a chance for regional position as promised by my dotted line boss. Or leave the company whilst I don’t yet have another option! Need advice

dcx07 asked: My friend has a job as a tutor at my old tutoring place. He’s 13 and gets paid $6/hr. I want to be a tutor and get the same pay becuase we are the same responsibility. I used to go there, but got in a lot of trouble, but she knows i can handle it. I have experience with kids by volunteering to be an assistant coach for lego robotics. So what is the best way to ask for a job?
Thanks in advance.

Laura asked: I am considering a job with Huntington Learning Center.
As a condition of my employment, I have to submit to a criminal background check. I’m not opposed to that at all.
However, the HR person told me that I would have to pay for it, to which I replied “That’s a business cost of Huntington Learning Center – It is not my responsibility”.
What’s the law on this? Any thoughts?
Just to clarify…
The cost of the background check is deducted from my first paycheck.
I gave my reply in a respectful manner.
Some very good responses, thanks!
Keep them coming.

Blondie asked: Our company handbook states that it should be a supervisors responsibility and obligation to disclose information regarding any potential relationship.
Not only did a supervisor not follow company policy….I feel this supervisor is abusing his role by indiscreetly
engaging in multiple relations with subordinate employees in the work place within the same time frame.
How should HR handle this situation?
I was more or less told nothing can be done….because it doesnt fall under “harassment”, however the situation has created a hostile work environment for the parties involved due to gossip throughout the workplace.

Was this a fair offer?
